Edmund Clarke is a senior research fellow at the University of Sheffield and head of the Molecular Beam Epitaxy group at the EPSRC National Epitaxy Facility. He obtained a PhD from Imperial College London in 2005 with a thesis on the growth of InAs/GaAs quantum dots for telecoms wavelength applications. Following postdoctoral positions at Imperial College, he joined the University of Sheffield in 2010. He specialises in growth of III-V semiconductors by molecular beam epitaxy, in particular growth of quantum dots for lasers and quantum technology applications, and growth of microcavities, detectors and lasers.
Abstract: Molecular beam epitaxy growth of InAs/GaAs quantum dots for quantum optoelectronics.
