Bursaries

A limited number of bursaries are available to students attending Photon 2018. The bursaries are provided by the Rank Prize Funds.

The value of a Rank Prize Fund Bursary is £200. It must be used as a contribution towards the cost of attending the Photon 2018 conference. Students wishing to apply for a bursary must meet the following criteria:

  1. Your application must include a letter (or email) of support from your Supervisor or Head of Department.

  2. Bursaries will only be awarded to graduate students studying for an advanced degree in a suitable subject (i.e. one of relevance to Photon 2018) at a University in the UK or the Republic of Ireland.

  3. Applicants must be intending to attend Photon 2018 for the full duration of the meeting.

  4. Preference will be given to candidates who are authors of a paper to be given at the meeting (either in oral or poster form).
